Friday 27th June saw businesses and individuals from across Pembrokeshire come together at the Torch Theatre to celebrate and reward those who have gone the extra mile in their business at the 102.5 Radio Pembrokeshire Business Awards with the Port of Milford Haven. With awards for Ecommerce to Food and Drink, the 14 categories covered a broad spectrum of business activity in the county and highlighted some outstanding businesses and business people for their contribution to the local economy.
Earlier this month we were delighted to receive the news that Jason Tomlin, Managing Director of the Recruiter Group had been shortlisted for Business Person of the Year. The competition in this particular category was tough – Angus Findlay from WebAdept (the company that designed our website!) and Jeremy Bowen-Rees from Landsker Business Solutions were both on the shortlist, and are both well known in the business community in the county.
This particular category was the last but one to be announced, and to say that it was a nerve wracking wait would be something of an understatement. As the category sponsor, Simon Ashton of Simon Safety Limited opened the gold envelope to announce the winner, all three finalists were on the edge of their seats.
It is our absolute pleasure to say that Jason won the award! In the last three years, he has developed The Recruiter Group to be a nationally recognised company, delivering an excellent service to clients and candidates alike, and this award is a fantastic tribute to his hard work and dedication. As he himself says it’s not just about him – the business has grown thanks to the support of his family and the team who now work alongside him, and it’s evident from the testimonials and continuing business relationships that we have with our clients that The Recruiter Group is continuing to deliver great results time and time again.
However, the award is for the Business Person of the Year, and so once again, huge congratulations Jason, and here’s to the next three years and beyond!
